STEAM Fun – From WeChat to the Web
A powerful local program finally gets seen.
STEAM Fun is more than just an afterschool class—it’s a place where kids build, explore, and light up with curiosity through hands-on STEAM projects. For years, this incredible program quietly thrived within the Chinese-speaking community in Massachusetts, fueled entirely by word of mouth and WeChat. No website. No English materials. No way for families outside the circle to discover it.
Yet despite this, STEAM Fun earned a global award for STEAM education excellence.
The founder knew it was time for a shift. She wanted to reach more children, especially beyond the Chinese community. But without an English website, without a Google presence, that dream couldn’t grow.
That’s where I came in.
Starting from scratch—with only Chinese-language brochures, chat threads, and parent testimonials—I designed and built a brand-new, fully English website that reflected the spirit of the program. Colorful. Clean. Warm. And built to be found. Every page is SEO-friendly, every link purposeful. I also set up their Google Business Profile to help build visibility and trust, allowing parents to leave reviews and boost search results.
The result? The website launched just in time for the new enrollment season—and it worked. It’s now easier than ever for families across Massachusetts to find STEAM Fun, learn what makes it special, and sign up.
This wasn’t just a website. It was a turning point.
